Choosing the right material
Aluminium
Aluminium is a highly efficient, conductive material that will heat up very quickly after the central heating is turned on, giving you total control over your central heating system.
Aluminium radiators can tick a lot of boxes for homeowners. The main benefit of aluminium designer radiators is that they will heat up faster than other material (and cool down quickly). This is because aluminium is a superconductor and so responds quickly to thermostatic changes. Radiators made from this material are therefore highly efficient and make it easy to control the temperature of the space. Aluminium is less flexible to work with than steel so there tend to be fewer variations in designs to choose from.
Another benefit of aluminium designer radiators is their light weight. Not only does this make the installation process much easier, but it also makes them suitable for a wide range of projects, as they can be hung on most walls.
The smooth clean lines and slim profile of the Torré range of contemporary designer radiators are ideally suited to modern spaces. Their minimal, compact design means they work well in all types of rooms. Their aluminium construction ensures they are a third lighter than steel radiators, so are easy to install on any type of wall.
They are also an economical solution as—being aluminium—they heat up in just over half the time of steel radiators and use around 50% less water. This means they require less fuel and are one of the most efficient radiators available. An additional advantage is that they are made from recycled materials.

The BTU rate of a radiator is how much heat the radiator will emit, and it is there to help you decide if a radiator is the correct size for your room or not. It’s important to know how much heat your room needs in order for your system to work efficiently.
