Weight Caution

Cast Iron is extremely heavy, please read our handling information below

Colour Co-ordination Available

We understand that many interior designs can be enhanced with carefully applied colour coordination or contrasts to create a standout feature. Today we have a huge choice of brands, exciting colour palettes and tones to choose from for our walls and woodwork, providing the opportunity to create truly stunning rooms.

If you are looking to create a uniquely personal look, using colours from either popular or premium paint brands, we can take your chosen colour and create a highly durable powder coat finish that will allow your radiator to blend in with your wall colour, or stand out if you want to make a statement!

Cast Iron Handling and Joining

Due to their weight, Cast Iron Radiators will be delivered on pallets to the nearest hard standing (driveway or yard) and appropriate assistance should be on hand to help move them into a safe, dry storage area. They can be very heavy so careful handling is needed to avoid injury. Sectional radiators should always be carried vertically, not stretcher style, this avoids putting stress on the section joins.

These traditional radiators will often be supplied in smaller numbers of joined sections (referred to as batteries) requiring joining on-site to make the complete radiator. We will provide an appropriate joining tool (known as a key) on a sale or return basis, once your radiators are fitted you can return the key in the postage-paid box, if you wish to retain the key, we can then invoice you for the cost

The joining process is not complicated but it does need to be carried out correctly. Ask your installer to check that they have experience in installing and joining cast iron radiators and if they have the appropriate joining tools let us know and we will not send the loan key. This video shows you the way we recommend our radiators should be joined.

Please note that after the manufacturing process, these radiators are pressure tested and cleaned inside with water, they may, therefore, contain a small amount of dirty water and swarf. If handling on a finished floor, ensure that adequate protective material is in place before working on the radiators.

The epitome of traditional heating

Although the Ledbury looks great in period or restoration settings, it will also look fantastic when paired with a modern home. The Ledbury’s curved top and crisp angular lines look great in whatever setting they are placed.

The elegant curves and distinctive columns are easy to clean, and being cast iron, this radiator is highly durable. As expected of all our radiators, the Ledbury has a high heat output that lasts, making it a great choice for large airy spaces that need a lot of warmth.

Overview

The epitome of traditional heating, cast iron radiators are a must for any period restoration; suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and dining rooms. Our Ledbury is a classic Schoolhouse horizontal radiator design, offering the clean simplicity of open columns.

These traditional radiators will be a perfect match for any existing radiators and being new, they come with a 20-year guarantee. Probably the most well-known form of cast iron radiators, the original imported column models bring a real charm and character to any period property.
