Weight Caution

Cast Iron is extremely heavy, please read our handling information below

Cast Iron handling and joining

Due to their weight Cast Iron radiators will be delivered on pallets to the nearest hard standing (driveway or yard) and appropriate assistance should be on hand to help move them into a safe dry storage area. They can be very heavy so careful handling is needed to avoid injury. Sectional radiators should always be carried vertically, not stretcher style (pics), this avoids putting stress on the section joins.

These traditional radiators will often be supplied in smaller numbers of joined sections (referred to as batteries) that will require joining on-site to make the complete radiator. We will supply an appropriate joining tool (known as a key) on a sale or return basis, once your radiators are fitted you can return the key in the postage-paid box, if you wish to retain the key, we can then invoice you for the cost

The joining process is not complicated but it does need to be carried out correctly. Ask your installer to check that they have experience in installing and joining cast iron radiators and if they have the appropriate joining tools let us know and we will not send the loan key. This video shows you the way we recommend our radiators should be joined.

Please note that after the manufacturing process these radiators are pressure tested and cleaned inside with water, they may, therefore, contain a small amount of dirty water and swarf. If handling on a finished floor, ensure that adequate protective material is in place before working on the radiators.

Dare to be Different

This highly ornate and striking design has all the majesty of traditional models yet is a totally modern production. If you’re looking for a real standout statement, the Bohemia looks especially good in our burnished finish, as the base of black and a highlight polish really accentuates the gorgeous etched design.

Flamboyant, gothic, call it what you will, one thing is for certain, it is most definitely not a wallflower!
